Two nights is enough for the classic route. Base yourself in Seomyeon, Gwangalli, or Haeundae, arrive the evening before, and you get two full days: one for the west side (Gamcheon, Jagalchi Market) and one for the east coast (Yonggungsa, Haeundae). The two sides sit on opposite ends of town, and trying to sightsee both in a single day is the mistake these threads warn about.

DAY 1 · WEST
Old Busan
- Gamcheon Culture Village at 9, when it opens — plan on a couple of hours
- Jagalchi Market before the lunch rush — the fish market: pick your fish downstairs, eat it upstairs. Closed the first and third Tuesday of the month
- Afternoon in Gukje Market's alleys and BIFF Square's food stalls — the festival's birthplace; the festival itself now runs across town in Centum City
- Gwangalli Beach at night — the bridge, and on Saturdays the drone show
DAY 2 · EAST
The coast
- Haedong Yonggungsa by 9 — bus 181 from Haeundae Station, about half an hour
- Haeundae Beach through early afternoon
- Blueline Park late afternoon — the sky capsules are priced per capsule (40,000 won for two people, 45,000 for three, 50,000 for four); book ahead on the official English site ([bluelinepark.com](https://www.bluelinepark.com/eng/booking.do)), since same-day capsule seats aren't guaranteed. The beach train is per seat from 8,000 won one-way, with same-day tickets at the manned station counters

Gwangalli isn't on the west side — it sits between the two ends, and the show only exists after dark. End either day there; aim your Saturday at it for the show.
Got a third day? Gyeongju, the old Silla capital (18 threads) — direct buses from Nopo terminal at the top of Line 1 run every half hour and take about an hour. Songdo (56), where a cable car crosses the water — buses 6, 26, 30, and 71 from Nampo Station. Taejongdae's cliffs (23) — bus 88 or 101 from Busan Station. A rainy-day standby in the threads: Spa Land (24), the giant jjimjilbang — a Korean bathhouse-spa — inside Centum City.

Getting there (and around)
Seoul to Busan by KTX takes 2 hours 23 minutes by Korail's own count, and a one-way economy seat is 59,800 won. You can book online through Korail's official English site — our KTX guide walks through the exact steps, including what the sign-up form does and doesn't ask for. Off the train, Busan Station sits on Line 1: Jagalchi and Nampo are minutes away, and Haeundae is about 40 minutes across town (Line 1 to Seomyeon, then Line 2).
The subway covers most of the route: Line 1 up the west side (Jagalchi, Toseong for Gamcheon), Line 2 out east to Gwangalli and Haeundae. The two stops the subway doesn't reach — Gamcheon and Yonggungsa — are the bus rides on their cards. A T-money card from Seoul works here too.
