Meitawang Egg Tart

Very big and delicious. The crispy pastry crust has a deep buttery aroma and is excellent. The filling in the center is very creamy, with a subtle hint of vanilla. I love egg tarts and have tried all kinds of egg tarts around the world, but this place clearly stands out with a distinct charm of its own.

It was a genuinely impressive egg tart. It was the biggest egg tart I have ever seen in person! The crust kept its crispness and flaky layers, and the filling was very rich and soft. Fresh out of the box it looked so appetizing, and the harmony of the butter-rich pastry and the custard was amazing.

I stopped by while walking through Myeongdong, and it exceeded my expectations. The outside was perfectly crispy and the inside was unbelievably soft. Above all, it wasn't overly sweet, which I really liked. It's also noticeably bigger than a regular tart, so even just one is very filling. There were quite a few customers standing in line, but the line moved really fast.

It couldn't be more satisfying. It's really substantial and generous, and the finish with a slight touch of saltiness delivers a fantastic, heavenly bite.
